Important Notice
This is a general privacy notice for Mairui Software products and services. Features and data practices may differ by product. Where a product provides a separate privacy notice, permission notice, or in-app disclosure, that specific notice will apply to that product. App privacy information submitted through App Store Connect will reflect the actual practices of each product.
1. Scope and Data Controller
This Policy applies to the website, iOS, macOS, and tvOS applications, and related customer support services provided by Nanjing Mairui Software Development Co., Ltd. ("Mairui Software," "we," "us," or "our"). We act as the data controller or personal information processor for information covered by this Policy. Third-party websites, platforms, and services are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Process
We follow principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity, and good faith, and process only information needed for specified functions. Depending on the product and features you use, this may include:
- Information you provide: such as your contact email, feedback, support communications, and content you choose to create, import, or submit in an app.
- Device and technical information: such as device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, crash logs, performance, and diagnostic information.
- Usage information: such as feature usage, interaction events, and settings preferences, only where a product uses analytics and provides the required notice.
- Device permissions and user content: some features may request access to photos, files, microphone, camera, notifications, calendar, location, or other system resources. Access occurs only when you enable the relevant feature and grant permission, as explained in the product.
- Purchase and subscription information: App Store transactions are processed by Apple. We generally do not receive your full payment card details, but may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction receipts, or purchase history needed to verify entitlements.
Where information is processed only on your device and is not transmitted to us in a manner that identifies you or your device, we do not treat it as collected by us. Unless a specific product clearly states otherwise, we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve product functionality;
- Maintain settings, synchronization state, or purchase entitlements;
- Diagnose crashes, performance, and compatibility issues;
- Respond to inquiries, feedback, and customer support requests;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents and protect users and services;
- Comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and lawful process.
We process personal information based on consent, necessity for performing a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, emergency protection of life, health, or property, or other lawful bases available under applicable law. Where consent or separate consent is required, we will obtain it. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
5. Storage, Cross-border Processing, and Security
We retain personal information only for the shortest period necessary to fulfill the relevant purpose, unless a longer period is required by law. After that period, we delete or anonymize the information. If deletion is technically impracticable, we cease processing other than storage and necessary security protection. Retention periods consider functional needs, account or subscription relationships, dispute resolution, security, and legal obligations.
Storage locations depend on the product and its service providers. If personal information of users in mainland China must be provided outside China, we will satisfy applicable requirements such as security assessment, certification, standard contractual clauses, notice, and separate consent, and take measures to ensure that overseas recipients meet applicable protection standards.
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, transmission safeguards, least-privilege access, backups, logging, audits, and incident response. No system can guarantee absolute security. If an incident may affect your rights, we will take remedial measures and provide notices or reports as required by law.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, decide, restrict or object to processing, access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete personal information, withdraw consent, close an account, obtain an explanation of automated decision-making, and ask us to explain this Policy. You can also manage app access to notifications, location, photos, and other resources through your Apple device settings.
You may submit a request using the email address below. To protect information, we may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Manifestly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive requests may be limited where permitted by law.
7. Children's Privacy
Our general utility software is not ordinarily directed to children under 14. If a product needs to process personal information of a child under 14, we will establish specific rules, obtain consent from a parent or other guardian, and apply strict safeguards. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in products, technology, law, or business operations. We will revise the date at the top of this page. If a change may materially affect your rights, we will provide notice through an in-app notice, dialog, website announcement, or another appropriate method, and obtain renewed consent where required.
